Duties
The Director of PPS provides support for and assists the Principal in embracing a mission and vision focused on student needs, leading and managing systems change, enhancing postsecondary planning, fostering accountability, building and maintaining collaborative relationships, leading with integrity and professionalism, and creating and sustaining a culture that supports students, staff, and families.
Qualifications
Master's degree or advanced degree in relevant field. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a high school level endorsement and General Administrative or Principal Endorsement.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Utilizes the School Links platform to lead counselors and in the delivery of curriculum to meet the Postsecondary and Career Education (PACE) standards.
Presents during the first semester New Faculty Induction Program.
Leads PPS department in attendance and support of building-level PD.
Communicates the completion and/or need for students to complete mandated State assessments to meet graduation
Advertises and conducts yearly ASVAB
Establishes and oversees a process for four-year planning and annual course
Leads efforts for building-level 8th grade transition activities.
Oversees management of all Section 504 evaluations and plans.
Ensures fulfillment of graduation requirements as determined by
Leads, in collaboration with district administrators and school-based leadership teams and teachers, implementation of multi- tiered system of supports (MTSS) at the school level.
Facilitates and supports teams in analyzing student needs and identifying research-based interventions in alignment with MTSS.
Oversees the Registrar, School Nurse, and other staff in the entering, maintenance, security, and reporting of required student data and records to the State of Illinois and other entities as required by law.
Supervises procedures for the secure and confidential storage of students records. Protects confidentiality of information gained as part of exercising professional duties and uses discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.
Supervises the processing of student working
Provides leadership in developing appropriate comprehensive counseling and guidance program activities.
Identifies and addresses needs of special populations through special guidance programs and other activities (i.e., at-risk youth, disaffected students, students making transition from eighth to ninth grade).
Oversees the application process (for post- high school education, armed services, scholarships, etc.) and ensures the timely submission of high-quality documents.
Coordinates individualized, classroom-based, and/or team-based support to implement resources and tools for social emotional learning, mental health, mindfulness, and wellbeing of students.
Works directly with teachers, providing classroom-based demonstrations, collaborative and one-on-one support, and facilitating teacher inquiry and related professional development.
Assists school personnel in identifying social emotional, mental health and behavioral needs of students and develop partnerships and programs to service student needs.
Other duties as assigned.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
